Transliteration: Walamma balagha ashuddahu waistawa ataynahu hukman waAAilman wakathalika najzee almuhsineena
When Moses had reached his full maturity and become full grown, We gave him judgment and knowledge; thus do We reward the righteous.

Transliteration: Wadakhala almadeenata AAala heeni ghaflatin min ahliha fawajada feeha rajulayni yaqtatilani hatha min sheeAAatihi wahatha min AAaduwwihi faistaghathahu allathee min sheeAAatihi AAala allathee min AAaduwwihi fawakazahu moosa faqada AAalayhi qala hatha min AAamali alshshaytani innahu AAaduwwun mudillun mubeenun
(One day) he entered the city at a time when the people were heedless. There he saw two men fighting, the one of his own people, the other of his enemies. The one belonging to his own people asked his help against the one belonging to the enemy. Moses gave him a blow and killed him. (On seeing what had happened) Moses said, "This is the work of Satan: he is a deadly enemy (of man) and an open misleader."

Transliteration: Qala rabbi innee thalamtu nafsee faighfir lee faghafara lahu innahu huwa alghafooru alrraheemu
Then he said, "O my Lord, I have sinned against myself, so forgive me. " So, Allah forgave him: He is the All-Forgiving, the All-Merciful.

Transliteration: Qala rabbi bima anAAamta AAalayya falan akoona thaheeran lilmujrimeena
Moses promised, "O my Lord, after this favor that You have shown me, I shall never again be a helper of the criminals."

Transliteration: Faasbaha fee almadeenati khaifan yataraqqabu faitha allathee istansarahu bialamsi yastasrikhuhu qala lahu moosa innaka laghawiyyun mubeenun
The next morning, as he was walking in a state of fear and caution in the city, suddenly he saw the same man who had asked his help the day before, again calling him for help. Moses said, "You are certainly a misguided man."

Transliteration: Falamma an arada an yabtisha biallathee huwa AAaduwwun lahuma qala ya moosa atureedu an taqtulanee kama qatalta nafsan bialamsi in tureedu illa an takoona jabbaran fee alardi wama tureedu an takoona mina almusliheena
Then, when Moses was about to assault the man, who was their enemy, he cried out, "O Moses! would you kill me today just as you killed a person yesterday? You certainly wish to become a tyrant in the land and reform nothing."

Transliteration: Wajaa rajulun min aqsa almadeenati yasAAa qala ya moosa inna almalaa yatamiroona bika liyaqtulooka faokhruj innee laka mina alnnasiheena
Then, a man came running from the other end of the city; who said, "O Moses, the chiefs are holding consultations to kill you, so leave this place: I am your well-wisher."

Transliteration: Fakharaja minha khaifan yataraqqabu qala rabbi najjinee mina alqawmi alththalimeena
Hearing this, Moses left the place, in a state of fear and, vigilance, and prayed, "O my Lord, save me from the wicked people."
