Surah 6: 6.42 — Consequences of Rejection

Transliteration: Walaqad arsalna ila omamin min qablika faakhathnahum bialbasai waalddarrai laAAallahum yatadarraAAoona

Translation: We sent Messengers before you to many peoples and afflicted them with calamities and misfortunes so that they might bow down before Us with humility.
