Transliteration: Walaqad bawwana banee israeela mubawwaa sidqin warazaqnahum mina alttayyibati fama ikhtalafoo hatta jaahumu alAAilmu inna rabbaka yaqdee baynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona
We gave an excellent abode to the children of Israel and provided them with the best things of life. Then they caused not dissensions among themselves until the knowledge had come to them. Surely your Lord will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that in which they had been differing.

Transliteration: Fain kunta fee shakkin mimma anzalnna ilayka faisali allatheena yaqraoona alkitaba min qablika laqad jaaka alhaqqu min rabbika fala takoonanna mina almumtareena
If you are in doubt regarding the Guidance We have sent down to you, you may inquire about this from those people who have been reading the Scriptures before you. In fact, it is the very Truth that has come to you from your Lord; so be not of those who doubt

Transliteration: Wala takoonanna mina allatheena kaththaboo biayati Allahi fatakoona mina alkhasireena
and join not those who treat Allah Revelations as false; otherwise you shall be of the losers.

Transliteration: Inna allatheena haqqat AAalayhim kalimatu rabbika la yuminoona
The fact is that those who have fallen under Allah decree, will not believe.

Transliteration: Walaw jaathum kullu ayatin hatta yarawoo alAAathaba alaleema
Whatsoever Signs are shown to those people, they will not believe till they see the painful torment.

Transliteration: Falawla kanat qaryatun amanat fanafaAAaha eemanuha illa qawma yoonusa lamma amanoo kashafna AAanhum AAathaba alkhizyi fee alhayati alddunya wamattaAAnahum ila heenin
Then, is there any instance of a habitation that, seeing the torment, accepted the faith and that faith profited it? (There is no instance of this) except that of Jonahs people. When they believed, We warded off the torment of ignominy from them in this worldly life and allowed them to make use of the things of life for a while.

Transliteration: Walaw shaa rabbuka laamana man fee alardi kulluhum jameeAAan afaanta tukrihu alnnasa hatta yakoonoo mumineena
Had your Lord willed (that all the people of the world should be believers), all the dwellers of the earth would have believed in Him101 Will you, then, force the people to become believers?

Transliteration: Wama kana linafsin an tumina illa biithni Allahi wayajAAalu alrrijsa AAala allatheena la yaAAqiloona
No one can believe without Allah permission, and it is the way of Allah that He throws filth on those who do not use their commonsense.

Transliteration: Quli onthuroo matha fee alssamawati waalardi wama tughnee alayatu waalnnuthuru AAan qawmin la yuminoona
Say to them, "Make a keen observation of all that is in the heavens and the earth." And (the fact is that) the Signs and warnings are of no avail to those who would not believe.

Transliteration: Fahal yantathiroona illa mithla ayyami allatheena khalaw min qablihim qul faintathiroo innee maAAakum mina almuntathireena
Now what do they wait for but the evil days that befell the peoples before them? Say to them, "Well, wait and see, I, too, wait with you."

Transliteration: Thumma nunajjee rusulana waallatheena amanoo kathalika haqqan AAalayna nunjee almumineena
Then, (when such a time comes), We deliver Our Messengers and those who believed in them-This is Our Way: We have laid it on Ourselves to deliver the believers.
